There is nothing to cancel. MAIA has no subscription — you are charged $89 when you buy a Decision Rehearsal, and never again unless you buy another one. Nothing recurs and nothing renews.
If You Simply Stop Using MAIA
Do nothing. Your account stays open at no cost and you will not be billed. Come back and buy a rehearsal whenever you have a decision to stress-test — there is no reactivation step, no lapse, and no penalty for a gap of any length.
Refunds on an Unrun Rehearsal
If you purchased a Decision Rehearsal and have not run it, contact [email protected] from the email address on your account and we will handle the refund. Once a rehearsal has started — the moment you click "I'm Ready — Begin Rehearsal" — the pipeline has done the work and that rehearsal is not refundable.
Closing Your Account
To close your account entirely, email [email protected] from your account email address. If you are holding an unrun rehearsal at the time, tell us and we will refund it before closing.
Managing Your Payment Method
You can remove or update your saved card at any time from Stripe's customer portal — Dashboard → "Manage Account". Because there is no recurring charge, removing your card does not end anything; it just means you will re-enter payment details next time you buy a rehearsal.
Your Data After You Close
- Account data (email, name, passkeys) is deleted within 30 days of account closure
- Decision Rehearsal Data is already deleted under MAIA's Zero Data Retention policy — there is nothing to delete because it was never stored
- Your exports are yours to keep, but download them before your session closes — MAIA retains no copy. See Exporting Your Results.
- Billing records are retained by Stripe in accordance with Stripe's data retention policies and applicable financial regulations
Coming Back Later
If you closed your account and want to return, create a new account at maiaos.ai and buy a rehearsal at the standard $89 price. Your previous account data is not carried over — you'll start fresh.
